St Elphin’s Playground Fire

It has come to our attention that there has been a dreadful fire at St. Elphin's park playground in the last number of days but thankfully no one was hurt.

The local response team called the Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were called straight away and started work on tackling the blaze in a matter of a few minutes.

It is not known yet who is responsible yet for this fire blaze and we hope the local teams can get to the bottom of it and prevent it from happening again as the culprits in question are most likely juvenile vandals.

Thankfully, no children were harmed as they were all safe indoors at the time and hopefully the burning smell and smoke will be cleared shortly also so at least the children can play in the local vicinity without having to deal with toxic fumes.

Work will need to be carried out by the local services once an assessment has been made on the costs and level of damage incurred.

It took the Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service approximately 10 to 20 minutes work to seal the area and put out the blaze and we would like to sincerely thank the team for their great work.
